Swordsman's Exam

Here, we have Ryo's son, Raphael, going against a rather large and ominous beast - A Gohma. This is the final part of the dungeon he was led to via letter from the Postman. Raphy thinks he's in a hazardous cavern dungeon, but in reality, this is part of Link's final exams on Raphy's swordsmanship lessons. The Gohma he's facing is none other than the beast friend of Rebé, Morphious.


For those of you who don't know him, Morphious is a spawn of Queen Gohma from OoT who survived Link's exploration inside the Great Deku Tree. Morphious as a larvae fled the Great Deku Tree and even the forest, only to wind up in the hands of the Lakeside Laboratory scientist, Dr. Mizumi (name comes from the manga). He was then a test subject monster, but that didn't last too long. He escaped after having certain things done to him. The lab was rebuilt just before Link returned to Hyrule. But Morphious was still out there. Eventually, he wound up meeting Rebé and the two wound up befriending each other and haven't parted since.

Dr. Mizumi didn't stop his experiments with monster genes, however. For such things continued when he found a bundle of puppies in the lake one day... This is where Acro and Celeste come into the picture. So Morphious knows their pain.
