     Narrator: Princess Zelda

     Years ago in the land of Hyrule, a prophesy was fulfilled. A hero from the forest, assisted by a white fairy, came to the land with a green shining stone. The hero was but a child and the child's name was Link. Link had left his home because an evil man had fatally cursed the guardian spirit of the forest, the Great Deku Tree. Seeking to stop the man, he traveled to the castle of Hyrule. He sneaked past the guards and stealthily wandered to the central courtyard. That is where he met a young girl peeking into the window of the throne room. She had dreamt a vision of prophesy, though her father did not believe her. In this dream, she had seen the boy Link and she felt the dark clouds in her dream resembled a dark-looking man she was spying at. That dark man was the very same who murdered the spirit guardian of the forest. Knowing the man would be after a sacred treasure, the Triforce, the little girl sought to beat him to it and prevent his dangerous deeds from spreading. However, she did not know what she was getting into.
     She sent Link off to find the other two Spiritual Stones in order to unlock the door in which to gain access to the place where the Triforce was held. He was successful, but a step too late. The dark man had come after the girl. She and her attendant escaped the castle just as Link was on his way to give the stones to her. She threw to him a musical instrument, an Ocarina, as she had ridden away on the horse her attendant was carrying her with. Only destiny could have known what was to come then. Link opened the doors to the Temple of Time to place the stones in their pedestal. He gained access to the legendary Master Sword. Something went wrong for all. As Link had pulled the sword out of its stone resting place, his spirit and body were sealed away, letting the dark man Ganondorf touch the Triforce and have his wish fulfilled; The very act Link and the young girl had been trying to prevent.
     All this trouble caused by a desire to keep disaster from happening. I am ashamed to admit that the young girl was me, Princess Zelda. I was driven away from my home, my father was killed and Hyrule waned into an age of darkness; all because I wished to take matters into my own hands instead of trusting the Goddesses that all would be well. But the calamity had only just begun. For seven years my kingdom would suffer in the hands of a lustful, evil, horrific man. The future of Hyrule seemed bleak. Each passing day drove the inhabitants to believe more and more that their liberation would never come. And with each passing night, I felt more and more guilty for putting them through this time of peril.
     But all hope was not lost. For on the day, seven years from the time it started, the Hero Link appeared to us while wielding the sacred blade, the sword of evil's bane: The Master Sword. One by one, he terminated the curses upon each section of the land. Phantom Ganon was banished away, Volvagia burned to ashes. Morpha was evaporated, Bongo Bongo was disintegrated, and the Twinrova sisters were sent to the afterlife. All the while, I had watched him accomplish his goals. But not my identity as Princess Zelda. Instead, I was disguised as a Sheikah; a Sheikah called Sheik. I finally revealed myself to the Hero of Time, but only to be captured by Ganondorf himself. Using me as bait, he caused Link to travel through even more torture just to come to my aid. When he did arrive, it was a one on one battle between the Hero of Time and the King of Evil. They fought fiercely, but Link came to be the victor. He and I escaped the castle as Ganondorf was trying to cause it to collapse. We believed all was well until Ganondorf appeared before us once again, flashing the sign of the Triforce of Power. He used its vast energy to transform himself into a horrific beast. Again, a battle ensued between the two. With the Triforce of Courage blazing in Link's hand and the Master Sword in his possession, he brought the beast to his knees and I summoned my power to help the Six Sages seal away the Evil King.
     At last, the war was finally over. We could rest at last. But, I could not help but express the guilt in my heart for such things that had happened. I wanted to give back to Link what he had lost: Seven crucial years of his life. With the Ocarina I had given him those years ago, I played for him a song that would return him to the past so that he could live his life as I believed it was to be.
     But for whatever reason, the kingdom that had suffered so much still stands as all before had still taken place. Everyone in the kingdom came together and began to rebuild what was lost. A new castle was erected and the provinces restored all within a span of five years. I had returned to the throne. Hyrule became renewed. Five years was all it took to reduce everything Ganondorf had done to a distant, painful memory.
     Or so we thought.
